A key component of the Transportation Master Plan update is a Renewed Vision for Transit following the process shown above. During the Listening and Learning phase, you share your ideas for how you would improve Boulder Transit System at www.BoulderTransitDesign.com. Taking what we heard from you, the transit team developed four different scenarios to demonstrate different strategies and weigh the cost and benefits of various approaches to creating a complete transit system in Boulder. The Transit Scenario Analysis identified that there are a range of benefits from each scenario with strenghths in different areas. To compare the strengths of each scenario, click the 'Summary of the Scenario Evaluation' link below.

The next step in creating a Renewed Vision for Transit is to develop two distinct transit system approaches that demonstrate community and city sustainability values.

To do this, it is important to identify what the community values most in transit system. Is it travel time? Is it reducing pollution? While we understand that all of the evaluation metrics listed in question #1 are important, understanding which ones are the most important to you, will help us to develop two distinct approached that are balance and represent the community's values.
