Potential smoking ban on the Municipal Campus
IMAGE

The rule would prohibit smoking in all outside public space in the municipal campus - the area between 9th and 13th streets (to the west and east) and Arapahoe Avenue and Canyon Boulevard (to the south and north.

This rule would not apply to moving vehicles on Broadway or 13th Street but would apply to parked cars within these boundaries. The rule would also apply to the Farmer’s Market area. It is similar in nature and intent to the city’s previous ban on smoking on a significant portion of the Pearl Street Mall. The ban applies to smoking of any kind, although public smoking of marijuana is already illegal.
